Family Programs and Activities
The Cattle Raisers Museum offers a variety of family programs and activities for all ages to learn about the history, heritage, and culture of the ranching industry. To learn more about events and dates, please follow the Cattle Raisers Museum at:
Story Time takes place every second Saturday of the month from September to May. The program is designed for children between the ages of 6 – 10, but all ages are welcome. Enjoy the stories being brought to life along with thematic art-making and gallery activities. No registration is required. Children must be accompanied by an adult. For more information on the monthly books, contact our Museum Educator Marta Torres at firstname.lastname@example.org or 817-332-8551.
Stop by our Activities Station where you can find fun and engaging activities that broaden and deepen the understanding of the history, heritage, and culture of the cattle industry, while highlighting important figures of our history and objects in our collection. Additionally, you will learn about land stewardship and the ways the cattle industry works to promote conservation.
Try your hand at our Scavenger Hunt and find the objects that go with the pictures in our galleries. If you’re looking for a more technological interaction, take full advantage of our Mobile Phone Tour. The voice of the Western legend Red Steagall will guide your way. Dial 817-752-5415 and follow the prompts or go to cattleraisers.oncell.com and access the full features of the tour.
